How Students Learn

We break learning into clear topics within each subject. Topics build on one another, so students strengthen prerequisite skills before moving ahead. Students begin with adaptive placement exams, so they can start at the right point in each subject. They may work at different levels across subjects as they build toward mastery.

Adaptive Placement
Students take our adaptive placement exams to find the right starting point in each subject.
Topic Progress
Topics unlock in order, so students build on prerequisite skills before moving ahead.
Mastery
A topic is mastered after five correct answers in a row.
Growth Testing
Students complete Human Program placement and exit exams, along with NWEA MAP assessments to measure growth over time.
